What do you make of this?

Featured Replies

Hi,

I phoned a couple of Skoda dealerships to order resistor packs for my heater blower, and was told that the fabias don't have resistor pack and it was definitely the motor that has packed up. The cost for the replacement woult be £157 . Luckily I did a search here and with the invaluable advice from fellow Briskoian I got the VW part number and ordered it from the VW dealer for £31.71

So, what do you make of this?

Shop around the dealers....most do post bits you know...!

:)Was it the resistor pack or the motor that a VW dealer supplied you for £31.71?

WTF?! There's a bloody 1,2,3,4 resistor thing for the blower in the dash.... I've had to replace mine after losing my "1" speed. The swapped worked a treat.

The dealer must have been either:

1) trying to fool you to get more money off you

2) a total muppet. :D

PS: I have Ross to thank for saving me much money and for guiding me when I had my hand squeezed into a gap in the dash hunting for the resistor pack in a scrapped car. :D:thumbup:
