Apparently, thrashing the car with a leafy branch does the trick - Fawlty style. That would make the bolt throw a wobbly and would then be easy to remove. No need to use a gun at all really, if you think about it.

He can probably sue the car manufacturers because he didn't know that the shot would ricochet and subsequently every wheel in future will have to carry a sticker saying "Do not use a shotgun to loosen bolts".

I was talking to an old boy who fought in WW2 and he said that when the Germans started firing they used to duck, if britsh started firing the Germans kept their heads down.......however if the Americans started firing ...EVERYBODY ducked :rofl:
