Newbie from abroad

Featured Replies

Hi all,

As a soon-to-be Dutch Skoda driver (company car), as of February 13, 2008, I'm trying to 'survive' the time I still have to wait by surfing the net and finding out as much as I can about my new car. It's gong to be an Octavia II Estate, the 1.6 MPI version (since in the Netherlands this can be modified with LPG, which makes driving seriously cheap), with some 'Dutch' extra's (armrest, leather trim, Stream radio CD with MP3, alloys) and the handpicked MaxiDOT and electric windows (front + rear). Currently, I'm driving a Peugeot 206 SW (also a company car), which is falling apart on a daily basis now, as it probably knows it's going to be abandoned in 3 months. I can't wait..... But until then I will try and find out as much practical info about 'my' car (it's probably not even manufactured as I am writing this :()

Why Skoda? That's an easy one: value for money, and the size of the car is a definite better fit than the Peugeot. Since I don't give a #$%&* about the image of a carmanufacturer (yeah, that's why I chose a Peugeot once, but never ever again.....) I was looking for a big car without the big pricetag. Guess I found it ;)

Welcome
