Dashboard and switches.

I've been looking through the forum at how to change the LED's behind the switches and the dash, from what I can gather on most its a straight swap for the LED's (which I gathered from HERE). The ones above the HU need a 1k Resistor which I also gathered from the same thread. What isn't mentioned is the ones below the HU, the AC and fan settings, will these also need Resistors adding?

The other thing I picked up was that changing the dial colour is a bitch to do. I had a look around and found this product, but the infomation about fitting it etc is limited; if I replaced my interior LED's would fitting those dials be an easy way around replacing the surface mounted LED's?
