Do New Wheels = New Bolts?

Featured Replies

I have managed to get hold of a set of 7x17 et35 Alloys for the VRS via good old ebay but my question is this -

- Do I need new different wheel bolts?

- What are spigot(?) rings and do i need these to before putting the wheels on?

Obviously pics to follow.

cheers.

You should be able to use the existing wheel bolts as they don't make them to different sizes. The spigot rings go inside the centre of the wheel and make the wheel sit on the hubs correctly. Not all wheels require these.

i found out on my old car the spigot rings stopped the wheels going onto the hubs so had to just loose them

I think most OEM wheels have conical bolt seats and most aftermarket wheels use spherical bolts.

So do my standard VRS alloys have these spigot rings on them and if so can i fit them on the new alloys?
