Changing sidelight bulbs

Featured Replies

The car is a 99 GLX if it matters. at the back of the main light cluster are two rubber covers, one i guess is where the fog lamp bulb can be accessed, the other where the headlights and sidelights live.

inside what i am assuming is the correct hatch, there is a big connector which is for the main beam, and a much smaller black connector with two wires going in.

Whilst i can carefully pull the connector for the main beam off i can't figure out how to deal with the other connector? is it pull harder, twist, something else? This is the connector for the sidelights isn't it?

I was thinking of changing the main beams for something a little brighter at the same time, is it pull the plug, lift off the sprung wire clip and the bulb pops out?

the sidelight plug has a release clip each side, push these in and pull it out at the same time. might be a little tight if they haven't be removed for a while.
