part number nightmare

Featured Replies

can anyone help me. i have a 1999 octavia 1.9 tdi slx and i need the part numbers for the convenience unit and the clock cluster does anyone know what they are. or is there anyway to find them out without stripping everything down as i am not a mechanic and need to buy the parts for fitting. is there a parts list out there with the right parts for my specific model. thanks

A Skoda dealer will be able to identify the correct part numbers for your car by reference to its VIN number.

I would think the person fitting it would need VAG-COM or the dealer tool to fit the new items. Both of these are capable of reading off the part numbers.

If you are getting new from a dealer then make sure you are sat down first.

If you are buying used from a scrapyard then try and get the chassis number of the donar vehicle as it may help when trying to get the immobilisor code.
