ECP light

Featured Replies

Fabia 1.4 Elegance 2001 (Y)

My ECP light comes on and brings on the engine block light, it does not seem to affect the cars running. Once the ignition has been switched off and restarted the ECP light stays off but the other one stays on. This has been happening for about 2 years now. At first I took it back to my dealer who plugged in his computer and cancelled the fault saying it wasn't important. I then bought a U280 AutoScanner which allowed me to cancel the lights myself. I think the fault number was 17559 but I may need to check that again. I'm not going to get a good PE price on this car if these lights keep showing.

Have a look at the Ross-Tech Wiki here for that code.

Thanks

I've looked and its there with several possible solutions, I only hope I can fix it.

Have you managed to fix your 17559 fault problem?

I got the same problem recently. How do you fix it? I tried to clean the throttle body and the excessive oil around them, and reset it. the warning light came back on after 100 miles driving.
