Pickup badged as VW

Featured Replies

Yesterday I saw a Felicia pickup that was badged as a VW on the front. I didn't know that this was ever marketed as a VW - was it or was the owner simply badge engineering?

I know that the VW polo estate of a few years ago was simply a re-badged SEAT vario.

Yup - was branded the 'Caddy' IIRC. Swapping the Felicia grille for the Caddy grille is quite a popular mod, I think...

If I remember rightly it was used as a stop gap after the factory building the Mk1 golf based Caddy burnt down.

yer thats about right. they only wanted us for our pick-up!!!

i feel used!

A friend of mines dad has a vw caddy and i was stood looking at it for ages one day thinking thats a felicia....i know it is... and turns out i was right!

why oh why do you felica owners always get so angry about the VW relationship?

IT'S A GOOD THING!

:)

we dont get angry as such, its just we are forever getting vw drivers telling us that our cars must be based on vw cuz vw own us!!

well... it's true lol

same as you'll find Audi switchgear in a Lambo... but you dont see Lambo owners bitching about it! ;)

we don't so much bitch about it, its just a lot of people (even skoda owners) don't know the full true story of the vw take-over.

the fav and felly were sort of the transition cars. skoda started making them, but vw finished making them.

that is true :)

you can however sit in a Felicia and play "spot the VW parts"!

although you can also do that in a Ford Galaxy...

o yer you can do that.

urmm steering wheel umm oo oo oo and a switch.

oo and the key. umm umm umm no, thats it (ish)

There's one parked down the road from me which has had the skoda badges removed and replaced with VW ones , except they couldn't remove the Felicia badge on the back , so they just (badly) sprayed it body coloured

I agree! Skoda is older than VW and has been just as innovative in its time. I still smile at the old jokes though :)
