tow bar wiring

Featured Replies

hey all. well its not something i like to have on my car but unfortunatly for me to be able to use my jet ski i need to tow it to the beach. i fitted the tow bar this afternoon and just need to route the wiring into the boot or to the tail lights. can any of you help me as to the best route to take or if there are any grommets i can use in order to do this cheers. Lee

There is a gromet to the left of center that I used then just run the wires L&R from there underneath the plastic trim inside the boot.

I agree... that is how I did fitted the electrics on my TDi estate. In through the grommet and off to the rear left hand cluster.

Oh, check that the socket is wired up correctly. Mine had 2 wires reversed and one was loose as well - caused me no end of confusion!

cheers guys. i should have said it is on a hatchback. is this grommet in the boot floor or under the plastic.

It sits below the rear trim panel ( plastic bit) on the inside of the hatch. It's the vertical bit from the latch to the boot floor.
