Variable servicing?

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I have just bought a 2 year old Octy 4x4 and was told it has variable servicing which sounded good. Acording to the service book it had a service

(read oil change) at 18,000 in June this year which was at 18 months old.

In theory it doesn't need looking at again until 38,000 or probably next October at the miles I drive.

It all sounds a bit too good to be true or do I need to do something else in the meantime? I wouldn't want it to miss out - I believe it is something to do with the long life oil they use although I've nothing to prove that this was used last time...

Yep , nothing else you need to do.

There are sensors to monitor the quality of the oil and other variables and it will decide when it needs servicing and let you know.

Mine was first serviced at about 19k , and then again at 38k (18 months old)
