Maybe yes, maybe no.

See post #17, it ain't all in the product mate. ;)

I used to wash my Astra every week or 2/3 weeks weather and things dependant

Standard turtle waxing still goes a long way.

Most new cars have a 10 year anti-corrossion warranty but a wax will not last 3 years.

I recently got given an Autoglym Valet bag.

Thats looking tip top Wayne, I am gonna consider this, as I love my cars 2 bits!

from reading on the permaguard website, its more than just a wax, its the whole package that makes it worth it I reckon, will check into this next year.

I wonder if this stuff would stop a red car from fading? Toyota red........suxors for that! Hence why I want to protect my vRS, bad experience in the past.

Everyones car looks awesome when cleaned and polished, I guess I wanna be able to give it a quick once over and have it looking like that pic than having to spend a couple of hours getting similar results.

Hell some people spend the kind of money it would take to do down the pub at the weekends!

Cheers for the pic mate!

Had my car treated with Permagard last June (exterior - interior - engine bay, they also done the windows, this bit was free) £297.00.

12 Month Continuity Guarantee. Take it back next year & they do the full job again for half price with a further 12 MCG.

Check them out Permagard - A Paint Protection System and* Durable Alternative to traditional Cleaning or Valet Services

Well impressed, had the boat done too. :D

So you'll have spent £445.50 on Permaguard services in 2yrs?

All down to personal preference, of course, but I'd much rather have my car detailed by Polished Bliss or another professional detailing company, than go down this type of route. I spent around 10hrs doing my Fabia detail in the summer, so know a fair bit about car care preparation :) So 8hrs for 2 men doesn't really cut it for me I'm afraid. Inflated costs to cover the franchise overheads perhaps?

I can appreciate people not having the time, or indeed inclination, to do it themselves - but there are other routes available, from which you'll get better results IMO.

Two things there Yammi

Permaguard is more than just a wax, its the whole package that makes it worth it I reckon.

Just so mate, people talk about polish/wax, that's just a portion of the process.

I had my Red boat done first, the sun had got to the colour and shagged it till it was bleachy pink. Permagard restored it to as if it had just come out of the mould.

When one of my mates said "Jesus, that looks good, I can "feel" the depth of polish on that". On the strength of that, I had the car done.

When I worked at the Renault dealers as a valeter we would get paid extra for cars where customers had asked for the permaguard protection.

The permaguard was put in the car unopened for the customer to use for the top ups and we used autoglym wax, and as were were only given an extra £2 per car for application, it invariably took circa 5 to 10 mins to apply this, I dont know what the customer paid but in this instance it was a waste of money.

Personally I prefer to do all my work myself, that way I know it is done right. BTW one of the other guys spent 1/2 a day one Friday doing the same procedure that we were supposed to complete in a couple of mins.

So it took 2 men, 8 hours to apply 2 products to a car?

Are they paraplegic midgets who apply it with their noses?

You have you a problem with the lesser able people in this world,, obviously!

Don't knock-em mate ,,,,, Freaks are everywhere, not only in Liverpool! :finger:

L O L ! I didn't get ripped off, I mean the treatment, so obviously they're still in darkest Kent.
