Remap

Featured Replies

sorry to bring remapping up again, ive been and searched a few threads and i am thinking of going with angel tuning but ive also been recommended to go with bell autos at york. I live in the north east/ north yorkshire area. Has anyone used bell autos? any recommendations? also ive got a pd160 intake on.

anyone ?

I used a firm called Chipboost. Got mine for £250 and the generic map is fantastic. Along with my other mods, the engine runs perfect. It fast passed the MOT smoke test with a very low 0.12 reading. That is barley putting any smoke out at all even after 5 minutes of idling before he did it. The power is very smooth and no clutch slip either. Plus it goes like stink too!!

I have had the Angel tuning remap and am very pleased with it as others are too.

anyone ?

You'll need to give it longer than half an hour.

I have an angel re-map... I'm happy too :)

Are you? are you really? ;):D

I have to ask, why?

Seconded ! :thumbup::D

Just messing with Sharkrider  However I don't think his Angel remap lived up to what he was expecting when it was tested on Awesome's rollers. Still he's happy, as are plenty of Fabia vRS owners on this forum. :)

I was gonna go with Angel, but have since postponed remapping for a while ;)

thats about right... ;) i was expecting more on the rollers, but who knows, a different set of rollers may give a different story :o

regardless of my figures, the service was great, price was a bargin, the difference in the way the car drives is huge, if it isn't up to max power, I will consider this result extra long life for the components (as I may keep the car to 100k) and I've "compaired" it on the road to a remapped fabia, and there was nothing in it, so I'm still happy with the result

Another happy Angel customer here

Had mine done today. Not sure if it's giving the 180bhp that they claim but it's certainly a lot quicker. I'm thinking it may improve over time as well when it 'beds in'.

I went to them as they have an outlet close to where i live and got the map done for a bargain price of £285.00. :D

This must be one of the best value maps around. It would be interesting to see what a fab vRS with an angel map puts out on a RR

Angel are my neighbours. From what I can gather Nigel seems to know his stuff (the Alfa he had was mental) In fact following my Alfa 156 accident, comments he made on the Alfa156 forum led me to buy my present vRS.

I've been tempted but last time I searched here he didn't seem to have much feedback. I also don;t have the cash to do it and also to fix any problems that may occur as a result.

For £300-odd can you do much better? I'd be interested in hearing feedback from those who have had his remap going for a while.

I was a bit put-off when spooky things happen to my brother's PSA engine after he remapped it. Perhaps you could put it doing to being tired and French, but still it would be irresponsbile to not consider the consequences.

I've owned my car from new, and had it re-mapped at 4,000 miles (after I considered it run-in! ;) )It's now up to 27,000 miles, and I've had no issues whatsoever caused by the remap, repaires I've had done so far, are door handle, and drop links... common faults on the grande punto, and not remap-related

Thanks SR.

I have just been going through some past posts, including your go on the rolling road. Did you ever get back to Nigel?

One thought about remaps - I bet no engine is created equal at the factory.
