Fabia 1.4 MPI Engine management light?

Featured Replies

I've just been looking at a Fabia which is showing its EML. Two faults were shown, one from the engine:

P0441 Evaporative Emission Control System Incorrect Purge Flow

and also this:

Address 08: Auto HVAC Labels: Redir Fail!

Part No: 6Y0 820 045

Component: Klimaanlage X0760

1 Fault Found:

00818 - Sensor for Evaporator Outlet Temperature (G263)

30-10 - Open or Short to Plus - Intermittent

Any ideas?

Thanks.

Think I've worked out that the second fault is related to the A/C, so probably not relevant to the EML.

This should help mate. I would check all the pipe work to the throttle body first as they seem to be the most common issue from my experience.

...and as luck would have it, here's a technical guide I did for the evaporator temperature sensor (with some help, it must be said!), which should cover the second fault - although like you say it wouldn't have caused the EML light to come on...

I'm 99.9% sure that's what the second fault is about, but there's a brief description of the symptoms in the TG. It's worth doing this job yourself unless your car's still in warranty as otherwise it's an expensive job for a dealer (although I gather they have to do it for a fixed price set by Skoda, which they're not happy about as the 'proper' way is to take the dash out! )

Hope this helps
