Cheap mods for more power

Featured Replies

My wife will hate this thread so lets not tell her. I know I have a great car already but I'm already thinking of cheap upgrades for more grunt under the bonnet. an suggestions.

P.S. Leaving my wife a son, to reduce weight, doesn't help they have to travel with me

Biggest 'bang for your buck' will undoubtedly be a remap but get a decent one from one of the more reputable companies such as REVO but that will relieve your wallet of over £500 .

For something that WILL give you a bit of extra grunt and a pleasing audible effect a replacement panel filter from K&N for around £50 would be my first 'cheap' mod

I agree with Steve but you don't say what your car is. A remap on a non turbo car doesn't give sufficient bang for your buck in my opinion.

Steve had already edited his flouting of the brief and quite simple instructions in the vRS register to save me getting angry with him so I guess he already knew ;)
