Tip leak?

Featured Replies

Hi all,

In an attempt to find my hesitation problem i was looking around the engine and found what maybe a leak on the stock turbo intake pipe.

Where the rubber and aluminum pipe join there has been a bit of oil which has gathered around the connecting part. The streak seems to rise about an inch above where the connectors join and also goes all the way down the side of the aluminum pipe.

I know this is on the intake side of the turbo so would be only under pressure from suction pressure but why the oil? and could this affect my running under high boost (hesitation problem)?

There are no vag-com faults.

Any help appreciated.
