I have been looking into this Phatnoise thing - is it still possible to buy? Is it easy to fit to octavia2 with stream mp3?

Yes and you can't have it. Try Ebay but be careful as I believe some of the sellers are less than honest.

It hust fits in place of the standard CD changer. The hard part for me was getting the changer out.

thanks - is the wiring as easy as it looks i.e. a wee connection lead which joins with the original cd changer lead. Also does the stream mp3 recognise it ok

There are 2 cables available:-

1 runs from the phatbox to the cable and connects in place of the cd changer.

The other runs from phatbox to headunit but I can't seem to find an example on ebay.

This cable VW CD Changer / Phatbox Cable - MFD2 / RNS-E - 5m NEW on eBay, also, Terminals Cabling, In-Car Entertainment GPS, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 08-Dec-07 19:01:49 GMT) appears to be the standard cable from head unit to cd changer and would work in conjunction with the 1st cable.
