bio diesel

Featured Replies

does anyone with the fabia vrs use or have used biodiesel...???

I have a friend who can get it at a good price and he uses it in his mondeo tdci. I would like to know if the furby vrs runs okay with it..

Do a search, has recently been covered loads.

have read the alternative fuel thread now, very informative...and answered a few questions i had about running on bio......I understand running on pump bio to be alot safer than "delivered" bio, and there are no pumps anywhere near me....so thats that one sorted lol...

It was the same when i looked into it, i wouldnt have run at 100%, prob 25-50% and by the time iv driven to the nearest pump its just not worth it.

Also you will always have the peace of mind when filling with propper diesel that your car will be ok.

I specifically asked Skoda about this and they said not more than 5% for recent models (post mid 2006).

officially i'm told if your vrs is built before week 23 2004 then it can run on biodiesel in any mix (as it says in the handbook), but after that they only recommend a 5% blend.
