Timing belt-when on 2.0PD

I'm thinking of replacing my Fabia vrs with a MKII octy with the 2.0 pd engine. When is the timing belt due for renewal?

Is it 4 years or 60,000 miles whichever comes first as on the Fabia?

Sorry if this has been covered but as you can appreciate I am usually on the Furby part of the forum.

Mine hasn't been changed yet. Next service due at 80k (currently on 79k) so maybe then. Mines on fixed servicing by the way - every 10k.

Yeah that's another point,is the 2.0pd always on fixed servicing or can it be variable?

You can have the car set to either.

low battery indicated remove battery check voltage if 3v clean battery around the area where the contacts touch and the contacts also isopropal will do refit battery will save a new one

Have come to use the A/C for the first time this past week and noticed that pressing the button for the recirculating air doesn’t appear to work. Button presses but nothing happens it doesn’t light up and stays off Also through the media center doesn’t do anything, wondering if anyone has come across this before? Or is it a trip to Skoda?

Hi all, finally got around to getting some new shoes ordered for the girl. I'm getting a set of Hankook Ventus Evo K137 235/45 ZR18 98Y XL put onto the Pegasus alloys. I was considering changing out the locking wheel nut for just a regular nut? Which then prompted the second question, I picked up a set of Alcar 9021 17inch Steelies for Winter Tyres, do I need to run seperate nuts due to the alloy v steel nature? What it says on the tin, really; recently my oil warning light came on, flashed a few times, made a really loud intermittent beeping sound, and then turned off again. This happened several times during a journey, but actually stopped after a little while. I checked the oil level, and its fine, so I reckon it's an issue with the oil pressure sensor/switch (I did get an OBD tool, but that came up as no error codes, so I'm really in the dark here).
