Good news: I collected the Fabia 3 Tiptronic last week. A most excellent car.

However, I can't help noticing that the indicator next to the selector should be on the right-hand side for UK spec cars. I know, the gear selection is shown on maxidot, but it's human nature to look down when shifting the selector.

You failed to mention the annoyance of having the 12v accessories port right next to the handbrake and thus the gear lever. I find myself getting hocked on my TomTom's power lead. Maybe I'll have to take it to Halfords and get it hard wired.

I bought a lighter socket from Maplins for a couple of quid and wired it in at the back of the dash so I can hide some of the cabling :D

Oh I like that idea - not so great at wiring though and a little apprehensive about routing behind the dash, £35 in Halfords pocket has to be better than a big hole or crack after I've had my hands on the interior....

Actually 35 quid's pretty good if you don't want to pull the car apart yourself.

Its 39.99 ;) tbh the stuff we do for that on some cars its well worth it

easy peasy on the fabia as the fuse box is right on the end of the dashboard, and the fuse box always has spare switchable live positions. :D

That's very competitive...been looking into reverse sensors, £150 list price in the Fabia brochure with a little spanner suggesting a fitting fee. Enquired at the Skoda dealer and they came back to me saying £75 for the sensors and a total of £300 after fitting fee. You've got to be joking!
