Review Of My Estate Elegance

Featured Replies

I have owned the car now for 4 weeks and I love it. You may remember that I had a Vrs before but with so many problems I had with the car the dealer swapped it for the Estate. The car seems more stable then the Vrs when you put your foot down, in the Vrs the back wheels did not grip the road enough when you floored it. Engine wise it is great to either drive slow or fast but yes you can tell the difference that the estate has less power ( which I do miss from the Vrs) then the Vrs. The toys are great the heated seats are wonderful the parking sensors are great and the cruise control is fun on the motorway. The boot is huge which came a shock to a few workmates . I am very happy with the car and I intend to keep the car for quite a few years. The only thing I miss about the Vrs is the power and now that I have the estate nobody wants to race me lol.

Nice to see you are happy with the car now then

What made you have an estate rather than have another hatchback?

Congratulations on your new Combi. :-)

But from a Vrs, to a 1.2 - that can`t be very entertaining.

Glad you like your "practical-mobile", sorry you miss the "fun-bus". Life is tough...Decisions, decisions, decisions.

Yeah, good old buses the Furby estates.:D

1..9Tdi Elegance Estate with a remap, best of both worlds !

:o Duplicate post oops !

It is a 1.9 TDI . It is nice to have the extra room in case it is needed plus I like the look of the estate.

Ahh, i see, i was sure i could remember something about you asking about the 1.9 PD100, but had a look under your profile, and it said 1.2. :P

I have a PD100 Combi also, but with a tuning box, so it has around 130bhp.

Haven`t driven a Vrs, but the power mine has, is ok for me. (I can always use more, but...) :D

Have also got Eibach 30/30 lowering springs on mine, and it really helps the cornering and diving when breaking.

Am looking into the whiteline rear ARB, but can´t find it here in Denmark.

I do 40.000 miles / 65.000 km a year in mine, and im very pleased with it so far at 48000 km.

If you have any questions, just ask.

Thanks but happy with the standard power of the car. Out of interest how much would it cost to up power and would a Skoda warranty cover it.
