Anyone know if the gearbox off another make/model will fit he Mk 1 1.8T 20v engine with shafts etc? he code on My gearbox is EHA 06093. I know the engines are used in Golfs, seats etc but not sure about the gearbox compatibility. Any advice greatly appreciated.

You could stick a 6 speed box in while you're sorting your clutch, don't know the specific box number but people here have done this.
