Which FMIC do you find better?

Which FMIC do you find better?

Forge is nice fitting, neat IC handles the 250ish ok

Proalloy is also a tidy piece of kit although the welds look better on the Forge, again this handles the 350+ brilliantly with no noticeable heat soak :D

Phil

The forge is a twin pass cooler and the proalloy is a single pass - which do you find keeps the temps lower / boost better?

yeh i know but im not sure thats actually how it mounts, think it mite just be like that on the pics to show the size of the cooler

The forge one comes with a modified bumper bar with rivnuts attatched and the intercooler mounts to the bumper bar then you fit it to the car and return your old bumper bar to forge and get a surcharge fee back, the bumper bar does cover the top half of the intercooler which is hidden by the number plate part of the bumper but if you cut the bumper away as i have done then you will have to cut a section of the bumper bar away to see the full intercooler but doing this will make the front of your car weaker in the event of a crash but i didn't mind taking that risk, hope this helps

Cars a bit dirty. Wanted to keep the crash bar on because of rigdity, even though it covers up alot of the forge fmic.

The area i cut out from the number plate, i plastic welded on the bottom to extend the bumper back to the cooler,

hence the recess is about 3" instead of the usuall 1".

As for the number plate moulding recess, i got a rear moulding and cut the section out and plastic welded it in place on the front one.

(cut & shut) if you like.
