After taking my Fabia to the garage twice and having the problem "fixed" only to have it happen again I figured I'd seek help elsewhere.

My PAS light occasionally comes on when I'm driving, this is accompanied by an erratic speedometer which flits about all over the place regardless of what speed I'm doing.

I personally think it's a faulty earth, if anyone could enlighten me as to the possible cause of the problem and the location of this faulty earth if that's the case I'd greatly appreciate it.

could be a battery or charging problem

the electric PAS takes a lot of juice from the battery , so if that is a bit suspect it might throw the light on

Id get it code read for any faults in order to diagnose the problem.
