its coming from the engine bay, sounds like when i try to pull off it will randomly make a creaky noise, or when i go to break but only at slow speeds... whats this noise!!!! its really irritating, the cars just touching 90k now so what do you recon it could be?

check the gearbox mount and steady bar , also check the roll bar and console bushes, try spraying them with WD40 , if the creak goes , you've found the problem

ooh thats alright then, so my engine isnt going to drop out on the m6 tomorow! how do i get to the bits?

I'd say console bushes....mine did this when they were on their way out - more so when braking than the other way round. Cupra bushes soon fixed that one.

loads of threads about the fitting on here , it is a bit of a job to do , the use of specialist tools is required if doing them in situ , a good Seat dealer or VAG independant should be able to do them for a reasonable price , the bushes are about £15 inc Vat for a pair

Nah mate - no side effects whatsoever. My Bora used to creak like a ******* for the entire year I had it - sway bar bushes were shot to **** on the front, but I just never got round to replacing them.
