Remapped and now Loosing power and Very lumpy running when cold

Featured Replies

Had my car remapped other day at APS in brackley and was ok for week or so and now for the last two days in the morning when running the car for the first time its extremely lumpy and i end up kangarooing down the road untill i stop and turn the engine off and on again then its fine as a daisy,

also seems to be that on my commute to work a few times when im sat cruising a along for a while off boost as soon as i put my foot down to go for it there seems to be no boost, until i restart again.

any ideas? ill be popping over to APS on sat morning to get them to have a look but just wondering if this could be a common problem with remapping?

Get APS to have a look for sure.

For some reason I'm thinking MAF, but no logical reasoning behind that... :rubchin:

Yeah, leave it up to the tuners to fix! It half sounds as though they'd given you a time-limited trial remap, but like Tom says, it's more likely that a sensor's gone pop somewhere...

are you running it on proper stuff?

Yup always on super unleaded and had the MAF changed when remapped as they thought it was causing my engine warning light to come on and its come on again now!

chances of the MAF been faulty? its only done it the mornings when its been especially cold. it also seems to idle high before it does it towards 1500rpm.

It's possible it's an early-service failure, yeah. Should be able to get a new one FOC as it's not really down to wear-and-tear...

could be the coil packs if you have changed the MAF mine was doing stuff very similar to your and ive just had a remap as well
