Not the best weekend. Had my superb taxi broken into over the weekend. Parked up on my drive about midnight came back out for a job about 1.30am to find drivers window smashed! What a mess! Think i'm gonna be finding glass for weeks!

Annoyingly the alarm showed no sign of going off. Looking at the amount of mess they weren't exactly careful and still didn't set the alarm off. Any body improved on the factory alarm?

Also try a clifford G5 if you want a good alarm. (Well IMHO)

No, didn't touch the lock. Just the window, was nothing around that they had used so not sure if they used centre punch or something! Lucky they didn't damage any body work. Always happens when you least need it. Luckily I was able to borrow another taxi for a job i had and got a mate on the case of finding a new window whilst i was driving back from heathrow! So £80 lighter for the window glass and a bit of swearing later it was all fixed.

Looking for cash! Car is a taxi and we've had loads of taxis in hereford broken in to over the last few weeks.

we get loads of taxis broken into down in torquay. I have fitted a stop lock safe in mine and it works really well.

Yeah, looked at those, look good. Only trouble is they still seem to break the windows just to look! And at £80 a time!! Just gotta make sure nothing left in car.

I would always avoid after market alarm systems as they all seem to butcher the wiring loom and unless you get someone really good doing it they make a complete mess that can't be un done, plus it won't stop anyone stoving your window in anyway!
