I want a VRS

Featured Replies

Hi all, i really want a vrs fabia! At present i smoke around in aw mk2 golf GTD, goes alright for what it is, 45 mpg when driven hard. My project car which will hopefully be finished by the summer is a mk1 golf 16v g60 6 speed, its getting there anyway.

Anyway i can stretch to about £5k but never see any that are that price, i wish they would de-value abit! Well anyone know of one thats about that price?

45 mpg when driven hard.

Fabia vRS will vary (usually, dependent on temp, trip duration) from around 39 to 52mpg.

Others will expand on this a bit more, I'm sure

These are figures I've achieved - from very short trips to 'extended' touring journey (but quite rapid :D).

Can only say am so well pleased with ours, and hang on for one with a lowish mileage if you can - worth 'stretching' for

PM ColG (Neo_VR on here)

He is/was selling his for about 5.5k fully modded, but I think he may have taken some mods off and so have trimmed the price.

I can't find his advert, however :

yeh i have seen that one for sale for a while, i think its the Lexus lights that put me off:eek::rolleyes:

Also, I am not sure about buying a cat D write off, i have never really spent that much on daily's always picked up something cheap and fixed what needed doing and then driven them till i get bored or they become not worth fixing. Only that my 1st child will be here soon that i want something a bit safer:)

In case you meant Colin's (neoVR) - that is not a Cat D.

Though he does post far too many cat piccies

A cat D is perfectly safe as the damage is purely cosmetic.

Lexus lights, totally agree, but I think £50 at a breakers yard should see them fixed

I'd say since it's a cat D you should be able to get it for about 2/3rds of current book price on a non insurance write off.

If you wanted something a bit cheaper you could probably pick up a MK I Octy TDI 110/PD130 for under 5k and spend about £500 sorting the suspension so it doesn't roll like a pig.

You can never have too many cat piccies.

'Lexus lights, start fights'!

Could probably do with the space of an octavia estate, but they don't look like this!
