fabia amp install

Featured Replies

ok,

so im new here so il take the time to say hello to everyone,so...hello everyone,

anyway i am fitting a sub/amp in the boot of my fabia sdi,i was plannin to run the 12v for the amp straight from the battery, but there is no way of runnin the cable into the cockpit, has anyone experineced this before or is it ok to piggyback off another 12v?what would be a good 12v source to use?

cheers guys,il update my profile with some pix nd stuff soon

you'll probably need to drill a hole for the cable to go through. i'll try take a picture of where my power cables go during the day so you can see how they are routed.

wher would be the best place to drill,my friend did his astra into the glovebox, did you drill yours"

thankyou

i had mine installed by a specialist so i'm not entirely sure where the cables run into the car, i imagine they would have drilled the bulkhead and put a rubber gromit round the wires into the hole so nothing else can get into the cabin ie. water.

You don't need to drill a hole! There is a grommet behind the glovebox which will allow you to push the wire through. I had a useful link to a guide on how to do it but can't find it right now. I did it in mine and it was very easy. A search should bring up the link.

a search can bring the answers?

never:rolleyes:
