Reversing sensor beep volume

Featured Replies

I've noticed when reversing that the volume of the beep is pretty low compared with my old Fabia. When the radio is on it does damp the volume to make the beeps easier to hear but not my much.

If I'm playing an MP3 or CD it does not seem to damp the volume at all and I cant hear the beep.

Can anything be done ?

I do have Maxidot.

If your reversing sensor and radio are factory installed, then using your manuals you will learn how to adjust radio volume drop when reversing.

Cheers bosnjo. I'd read the manual through but could only find the setting for the beeps when the radio is on.

Main problem was when playing a CD or MP3. The volume does not seem to drop at all.

You can change the volume and the tone of the PDC beeps via VAG-COM IF they are factory fitted.

Strange, what I applied as volume settings when parking sensors are on, works for all volumes - radio, CD and MP3. My HU is Audience, so I'm not sure about Stream (is your Audience or Stream?). I think Stream works the same way. Buy the way, does your display on HU shows distances when parking sensors are on?

Anyway, I guess something is wrong with your HU.

Yes - my Stream works the same way.

So, here you go. If you have Stream or Audience, something is wrong with HU. If your car is under warranty, go to your dealer and complain. If you have non-Skoda HU then it's all other story.
