upgrade lamps

Featured Replies

Couple of days ago one dipped lamp went - my usual cheapo supplier is shut for hols, so having seen mention of Halfrauds lamps especially the uprated ones I tried them - rather pricey I thought --so toddled off to Motorworld - single bog standard H7 about £9, BUT special deal on on Ring upgrades - pair for £15 ,plus they seem to be doing deals on the Ring range of blue etc etc lamps .BTW- on mine -most difficult job was replacing the headlamp cover on the passenger side -no mass loss of skin ---will know about performance tomorrow on way to work (grab grab)

Will be good to hear what you think of them. One of my uprated-Osrams packed up after 18 months service and I replaced my dips with some Philips Xtremes and they're brilliant. Shame about the price though :( although I guess the free sidelights do offset that slightly ... if you can use them

Went out to night for a short hop - on dip as normal - very long range -picked out PC Plod HI Vis in transit at 100 yds - very white light - most impressed although I'd only gone for a half mile hop.

The bonus was the price - £9 for a bog standard H7: £15 for a pair of upgrade H7 --SO £6 to get a better set of lights - really no contest, and after that I'd have a spare lamp , just in case .

Update - went to work this morning at 6 am - very foggy , so little chance to go to mains - but the white dips ( Ring up grades @£15 ) lit up nicely .On way home fog free , the range impressed me. Against the price of a new bulb - well worth the money IMHO.
