Can anyone help? I have a Mk 1 Vrs Octy which is standard and I am very happy with it. Very recently it has started to squeak somewhere on the drivers side if I am steering slightly off a straight line to the left. This is not constant and also stops if the brakes are applied. It is obviously something to do with either the steering or the brakes

Does anyone have any ideas?

my friend had this problem with his mk4 golf GTI, it was whenever he steered off to the right, he checked out his brakes and found something to do with the caliper, cant remeber exactly what it was, just check out the pads and discs, make sure theres no play in the brakes. sorry cant be any more specific.
