Cost of new hoses/DV

Featured Replies

Hi

Had the Engine Management Light come on last night:mad: Thankfully a friend at work has a vag-com cable for his TT. It has come up with the fault code 17705 which i believe most people have had and from reading previous posts i may as well change the dump valve and relevant hoses. (someone correct me if wrong)

So really all i want to know is the cost to have these replaced. I would do it myself but not really mechanicly minded.

Cheers

Russ

Could just need the throttle body cleaned. A friends Golf gti sprung a 17705 code and was cured by having a clean

Noticed that it does have that as a possible fault throttle body ceaned and check alignment.

Is it a big job??

Nah it's smiple

You a need a new gasket (about £1.50)

Undo the four bolts that hold it on, get a bit of carb cleaner (£2.00ish) spray, clean refit. Get your mate round with vag com to re align

Loads of threads on here about try an advanced search

Excuse the rough picture 18338.attach

Here is thethrottle body with the big circle and you can see the top2 bolts in the smaller circles

Photo courtsey of stevie wonder (no not the blind one, he cant drive for obvious reasons. And if he could I doubt he wouls drive a 5hitty skoda)
