Mental or brill?! Totally-DIY nitrous kit anyone??

Featured Replies

Found a few links of a guy that builds his own Nitrous kits in the UK - for about 100 quid of parts all in... Good explanation of the technical side as well. (I DIY fitted and used a Nitrous kit about 18 years ago....)

John Williamson's (Grimsby UK) Build Your Own Nitrous Oxide Injection System Cheaply!

his new site: Build Your Own (DIY) Car or Bike, Nitrous Oxide Kit - (Engine tuning)

diesel specific: Diesel Nitrous or NOS systems - differences

I'd say brill tbh....

I'll have a crack at this tonight ..........LOL

With explosive results !!!!

notice that he started off examining the kit built by Wizards of Nos founder....

Dry kit for a diesel would be pretty easy to put together...

interesting page where he refers to a way to set up the kit to get rid of turbo lag only - bottle would last forever that way....

I got no grip now I couldn't make it any worse .....LOL

looks simple enough,i won't be trying it tho:D

I'd sooner use Trev's (WON founder) proper gear. At least I have some come back, and using the WON solenoids means a proper, controlled NOS injection. :)

I looked at nitrous for my mk2 Golf and was tempted by Wizards of Nos system but when I did a bit of asking around of people using Nos I decided Wizards was better being avoided. If I was doing kit DIY the first thing I'd buy would be a decent fire extinguisher, lol.
