Hi all, my partner has just got a fabia 1.9sdi on a y plate got all the filters to change can some one tell me were the oil filter is located ! yours paul major.

Front of engine , right hand side . Round black cylindrical item ,with a 36 mm diameter nut on top. Large 36 mm socket needed to unscrew anticlockwise . Filter comes out attached to the top with nut on.

Before you put new filter in, put in the new oil - much easier through that big hole than through the usual filler.
