Had great success with VWs over the years so when the wife's 15 year old Jetta needed replacing we decided on an approved used Fabia Elegance 1.4 16v. It has been problematic to say the least! In the 1 year Skoda warranty we have had the power steering sensor changed twice, a new radiator, a new break pedal sensor, 2 (count them!) steering racks, faulty suspension bushes caused a new pair of tyres to be illegal after 3000 miles, the radio retunes itself as you drive along, the interior light falls out randomly and the rear doors leak water!

Having said all that, when it works it is a good, nippy car to drive.

I joined the forum as I thought it would be a good place to ask questions now that the warranty has expired and hopefully the good folks here will be able to give me the benefit of their experience with regard to the issues that almost certainly lie ahead!
