Whats she worth?

Featured Replies

Right fellow briskodians, ive got a 2004 54 reg fabia vrs in black with 47k on the clock......... and i am thinking that i would be better off with something stupid to drive around in.

So what you recon its worth?

Heres the details,

Black magic fabia vrs on a 54 plate with part service history. 3 previous owners.

Sach race clutch and pressure plate + brand new DMF

Re-map to 170bhp graph to prove

All front suspension overhauled using cupra and powerflex bushes

312mm audi front brakes with brand new discs and pads

choice of imaculate standard wheels with brand new toyo tyres or/and recently powder coated white wheels with same tyres.

Very rare maxidot dash pod.

Jabba RARB

No dents to body work but usual front stone chips due to motorway miles.

tax 12months and 8 months mot.

Any ideas on a rough asking price?

cheers john

£7750?

Sounds like a peach though!

Glass' trade in is as follows:

Part-exchange Price:

Excellent condition: £6420

Average condition: £5820

Below average condition: £5130

Not sure the mods will add anything unless you find someone willing to pay extra for them......

Chris

Yeah, but add a good grand on for a private sale, surely?

Personally I would improve the handling, and then drive it to death.

I have been considering selling mine, but the cost of something 'interesting' puts me off.

I have promised myself a Porsche for my 50th , so until then I will mess with my Fabia.

In all honesty, running costs are minimal, they are reasonably fast for a small car, and our lovely West Yorkshire roads feck anything up anyway.

An Overfinch range Rover would be a consideration though.

range rover would be nice but i recon ill just stick out for a nice 98 integra dc2 ;)

After thinking about it I recon Tom is pretty much spot on with the £7750:thumbup:

Just about to stick it in the trader, i think it will be the 3 previous owners that will put people off so ill price accordingly.

If anyone on here would like it, i cant see why they wouldnt :rofl:

Don't stick it in the 'Trader'. Pay £12, join Freedom, support the site and sell it to someone who want's it with the mods and will continue to care for it.

May have someone who is interested - I will email him now :)

Note to have excellent condition you need 12 months MOT 12 months tax and full service history

Average condition is Full serivce history, 6 months MOT & 6 months tax

Below average condition is part service history up to 3 months MOT & up to 3 months tax.

I notice your car is 3 years old with 3 owners the market will certainly lower the price accordingly as remember the next buyer will be the 4th in 4 years... thats ok on say a 997 Turbo but on a small shopping/city car thats a very high number.

Finally all those modifications are really going to either vastly reduce the potential buyers as the vast majority want vanilla cars not boy racer cars or your going to have to really reduce the price.

Finally remember that any modification you have added (just like options) are worth effectively 0% of what you paid for them and some mode may even have negative effects on the used value.

Hmmm, I think certainly advertise around the mid £7k, with a view to taking about £7k or a smidge under.

My estimate was just off the top of my head - I still struggle to appreciate the Fabia vRS has been around for 4 and a half years now!

Take anything you can off it and sell it on here then you won't mind getting £6500 for the car.

I advertised mine at 8.8k with all the bits, only timewasters, so sold the bits for 3k and got 8.2k for the car.
