Afternoon all,

I'm just in the process of buying a mark 1 Octavia VRS.

I currently drive a 1986 Mercedes Cosworth, and have been looking for a long time

for a suitable replacement. I think I have found it in an Octavia VRS.

Out of the similar VAG cars, I think the Octavia looks the part, and seems to be very good

value for money.

Am I right in thinking that this is soley down to the name on the badge?

I've already lined up some mods, I don't like cars that understeer, so a rear ARB is in order.

Along with this will be a remap, and some colour coding.

As soon as I get her I will be posting pics!

Out of all the forums I have joined for the car I own, this site definately seems to have

the best knowledge base to tap into.
