Heater plug light! on VRS

Featured Replies

Hi all, a pupil stalled the vrs the other day and the little coil type orange light lit for the heater plugs! car runs pefect but lights been on now for a week! done this before but light went out after a couple of days! any ideas? Are the heater plugs knackered? if so how much are they and are they easy to do?

Cheers all!

The glow plug light is a bit of a multi-purpose fault light. If it's been on all the time since your pupil stalled it, you'll probably find a fault has been logged on the ECU that needs clearing. If the car runs OK, this shouldn't be too urgent, but it's worth getting the fault codes read just in case.

(PS: I doubt it's the glow plugs that are playing up under the circumstances!)

I think the heater coil light flashes when the brake light switch is broken.

If you have cruise control, does it work?? Are your brake lights working properly?
