Any ideas why my EML is staying on whilst driving ?? I know its some kind of warning, but thats all I know (I am a woman after all).

Would it be best if I took my car to a Skoda garage or would a local garage be able to help ??

Go to a Skoda dealer unless you know someone with VAGCOM.

I dont know anyone with a VAGCOM but if any kind soul who lives in the northside of Birmingham has and wouldnt mind checking my poorly Skoda I would be eternally grateful. I dont mind paying.

Have a look at the VAG-COM owners map

You have a few who aren't too far away from you:

Birmingham (South) = mluton

Cannock = scoobydoobry

Walsall = cjb

Where are you, and what engine does your fabia have?

I live just off junction 4 M6 and its a 1.4 engine

you are best to get it checked the way yu are but be warned sometimes it can mean almost nothing like a bit of moisture in exhaust etc mine did that and no code of fault could be found.

I'm probably the nearest person with VAG-COM. If you can come to me (or even part way- say Boldmere) I'll gladly scan your car. No promises with a fix by any means, but I can read the codes and reset the lamp, which will be a start.
