Winter blues?

Featured Replies

Well, I've been away from here for a few weeks due to another house move.

Anyway, now all that's out of the way, I turn my attention to my car... only to find out it's covered in scratches and bird pooh actually made from araldite, the offside dipped beam has blown, my led sidelights started flashing like police strobes, my head unit breaks down and now something's happened to the driver's window mechanism and it falls down of its own accord.

Plus, I'm desperate for an oil change, fuel around here is £1.10 a litre and she stopped beading the water off the paint so long ago she looks like a drowned rat.

:(:(:(:(:(:(

...am I alone in feeling this way?!?!? WHEN IS IT SHOW SEASON?? :weeping:

LOL..........

Two things to say:

1) Don't fit cheap LED sidelight bulbs;

2) Get your Superb down to Banbury and I will attack it with the UDM for you!!!

If you want to get the birdy poo off easily, get a cloth and saturate it in hot water, put it over the crap and it will lift off after a few minutes.

Do not, as first borns ex-boyfried did with his two day old Black Magic Polo, attack it with a Brillo Pad! :thumbdwn::rofl:

I've gotta ask Baker21...what is a UDM and what does it do?

A UDM is an electric polishing mop - it takes all the hard work out of polishing a car, you just need to be careful on a sharp edge that you don't burn through the paint / lacquer.

As described by Gizmo68, the UDM stands for 'Ultimate Detailing Machine' and details on it can be found at the following link, with details on how it works at the bottom of the page:

Car Polisher, Auto Buffer - The Ultimate Detailing Machine

I am now getting into this 'Detailing', and do one car a week at the moment for a very reasonable price, another thread hi-jack but here are some examples of what I can ahieve and what I do with the UDM:

UDM Vs Audi A4 (B6) Sport.......Full Detail!!! - Detailing World

Udm Vs Vw Golf Mk3.......a Very Dull Wet Day To Detail!!! - Detailing World

Udm Vs Vw Polo Mk4.........full Detail!!! - Detailing World

Udm Vs Ford Explorer '06......detailing In The Usa!! - Detailing World

Oh and currently being in the USA I have bought a few more things......LOL:

USA Detailing Spending Spree - Detailing World

Thread Hi-Jack over.......LOL!!

Good God Mr Baker, I am amazed some truly superb (no pun intended) work there! Gotta get me some of the polishes etc that you have there!

Thanks mate, I do work hard during the week but this has turned into a lovely little side line that I take pride in and I aim to make every car look better than the day it was bought!!

Don't waste your money on 'Detailing' gear like I have, just pay me to do your car.......

If you'll do it in this weather (looking out the window), get the kettle on, I'll be there in an hour.

What LED's have you got - just so i know what to steer clear IF i do get some.

Prizm. The first ones I used were the 4-led ones, and they were the ones that were a bit pants. I'm now using the single LED ones and so far they're good. Look better in clear headlamps then the 4-led ones as well.
