Folding Mirrors

Featured Replies

The wing mirrors can fold in but on one side it doesnt fold and seems to be stuck.

Is it just a case of spraying wd40 and jigging it? I dont want to break it off as it seems really stuck when I try pushing it really hard.

Its the GLXi with the electric mirrors. They work fine but sometimes I would like to fold the mirrors in when parking in a narrow street.

I notice that they can be quite stiff... they fold a bit then stick then suddenly fold in.

I would try as you suggested... if not maybe take it off/apart and have a look inside and make sure everything is ok.

Me and my sister are always folding ours (we park our cars quite close on a smaller part of our driverway) - though sometimes they can be quite tough to fold in. I gently push on them - sort of rocking them a bit to push them in. I would try the WD-40 aswell to be honest.

Thanks.

I'll try taking them off I just dont want to break them

I don't know how easy it is to remove the ones with electric / and heated mirrors. I have only ever done the ones without. I know there is a plug for some of the leads behind the control for them on the drivers door. Aside from that I have never removed them - try a bit of WD40 first in IMHO
