With you having to jam it in does it look like using the little wedge that comes with it will be enough to get it out again if necessary?

It could be a task, but it should come out without too much effort. I used the wedge thing to fit one of the corner switch blanks back in without removing the radio or trim bits. And if anyone's tried that on a Fabia then it shows how useful the wedge is.

The bottom of the Fabia clip has double sided tape on it, I didn't use it, but if you do then It may get harder to remove?

Basically it's never gonna come out on it's own, but if I wanted to remove it I reckon it should be reasonably easy.

Pictures of it fitted. It looks somuch better than the screen mount and should be safer to use while driving. Not having to stretch as the dash and screen angle meant the TT was quite far away.

The voice recognition and bluetooth phone calls should be better now as well as the microphone are closer.

Thanks again for the help with this :thumbup:as now I've got it fitted is seems a lot more simple than I was making it in my head.

Looks super Al - and that Passat interior looks like a nice place be, lovely dials :cool:

Fitting location looks spot on :thumbup: Your next job will be to run a hardwire for the TomTom now :D

I don't think I'll need it, most journeys are less than 2 hours so will rarely need the in car charger/power lead.

My wife almost had a fit when I told her the mount stays in place, we discussed the 2 mounts ie: 1 with the power lead attached and 1 without and she misunderstood that when I described them as one always having the power lead attached and one not shethught I also meant the whole clip.

Oh well it's on now:rofl::rofl:

Haven't driven it with the mount in place but what an improvemnet for £37.

Thanks on the comment about the interior and thats the base model of the range cleaned it at the weekend but the flash seems to show up all the dust!

Ah right, fair enough :)

If it's anything like the setup I have in the Fabia, and previous cars, the mount and device will stay rock solid. The custom fitment and design are what you pay the money for.

Couldn't believe how easy it was to fit, obviously I pre-assembled the mount to the Proclip but fitting in the car to less than 10 seconds and hopefully I've done it right, but following the instructions not much can be done wrongly.

Hopefully the distortion I encountered with the TT Go300 when on the screen mount when phoning through it will be gone now with the new unit/mount. I feel the old one bounced around alot even though it was secure enough on the window.
