hello I have just joined this site mainly because I have had a love affair with my Skoda Fabia and honeymoon period has been brought to a sharp end :thumbdwn:- does anyone else have an X reg model which performs well but whines in fifth gear when accelerating?. My local garage doesn't know how to fix the problem and I would really appreciate some hints or suggestions. Is the gear box a weakness in these models? or is a whiney fifth gear a feature of that year?
