MS Word - Printing themes.

Featured Replies

Sorry if this is in the wrong area...

I'm trying to produce a document for work and want it to look a little more interesting than plain white with black text. I've found a theme which puts a blue fade on the left side of the page. When I go to print preview, the theme isn't there  Is it possible to print the theme as it appears on the screen? I can't actually print it out to test it as my printer is out of ink... so I plan to print at work tomorrow. Maybe the print preview just simplifies it?

Thanks!

I thought that the print preview was just that, a preview of exactly how a document is going to print...

Could you check it by printing to a file? If I want to test print a document (or save an edited pdf form) I will print to Microsoft XPS Document Writer and save the file on the desktop. You could then view this to see how it looks...

This is a well-known "undocumented feature" in Microsoft Word / Works where clip art / graphics won't necessarily print or preview as they appear on screen.

It might also be an issue with the printer driver you are using.
