Pioneer DEH-85BT Headunit Fitting.........Cage Problems!

Featured Replies

Hi Guys,

was fitting my New Pioneer Headunit today (BTW it's awesome) but the Pioneer Cage dunt fit into the slot of the old radio, its too big

I've got the Mic and the Ipod connector all working (What a PIA, had to diassemble most of the dash) and the headunit is sat in and working but not secured 100%

Anyone else had this problem?? How do you cure it apart from dremelling 1/2 the dash away :D

Cheers

Steve

when I put a pioneer in my mums furby I had to bend the cage in the middle and slide it in.

when I then put the radio in it was a tight fit but it went in

Bend the cage in the middle, push it in and then open it back up

Watch your fingers, the edges are bloody sharp ;)

The fabia is a barstard for space behind the headunit!

Its good for running amp wires!

But terrible for space behind the headunit.

Mmmm Will Try That Bending thing :)

I left my pioneer cage out, lol. But then again the head unit slot in my car is angled backwards, there's no chance of it falling out.
