Fabia vRS trip computer

Featured Replies

More of a niggle but last night I filled the car up from empty till the pump clicked, reset the trip meter and reset the trip computer to find the car had a range of 420 miles, strange I thought it should say 455, gradually it went up to 430miles left in the tank and has stayed there since it dropped back to 425miles left after my trip to work this morning.

Is it just me or do you think I could have squeezed some more diesel in or just a faulty reading?

I'm tempted to go back to the garage to see if I could have squeeze some more in.

Davy

The reading adjusts according to your recent average MPG, so if you drive very gently for a while the range will go up.

cheers mate, I never knew that mate.

IIRC, it's based on the mpg from the last 50 miles of driving so if you've been driving in a spririted fashion (and as a result run out of go go juice) the range will be significantly lower than if you've been driving Miss Daisy :D

You'll see it adjusting based on how you drive...

Chris

if you've been driving Miss Daisy :D

Thats me then, I regularly see 500+ miles after filling up :o

Mine tends to say around 370......

It's went up to 435 miles now the car had a wee run along the coast to SWMBO's new pad.
