wiring in the amp

was tryin to send the power lead from the battery to the boot today on my fabia without sucess as i cannot see where i can feed it through the bulkhead removed the glovebox and it just looks complicated in behind any ideas?? many thanks

Resurrecting an old thread here.

How do you stop the water getting in? That entire space under the scuttle panel gets wet and some parts puddle. That hole the wire goes into is almost the lowest point under there. I decided not to use this hole, which is a shame as it's a really good place to run a cable. :(

never had any problems with mine but something like Blue Hylomar or silicone sealant should do it.

Never had a problem with mine either....

Mine's been wired directly into the fuse box rather than making a hole in said grommet (not by me I hasten to add, I had an auto-electrician do it just in case).

i dont get any water in through there

Might give it a shot then. :)

i did mine to the fuse box to where it goes in. its so much easier than trying to get it through that grommet

Update to my first point. I thought it meant the big grommet that lies at the bottom of the tray. It didn't it meant the one just under the windscreen. Wish I had found that before. :rolleyes:

There is also another grommet along a bit to the left of the blower motor if anyone needs to run even more wires through. But you'll need the wiper tray off to get to it. :thumbup:
