Standard vRS driving traits

Sorry to intrude on the post, I'm no expert, not at all but my mate's dad has a vRS mk2 and he rekons 1st and 2nd are torque limited, even if esp is turned off. This could be a similar thing with the mk1's. Becasue max torque is achieved from 2000 - 5000 rpm you couldnt get the "power down" in 1st n 2nd. It may be a total load of crap but he rekons any way.

The torque is limited in a sense due to the boost pressure caps set by the ecu.So when the boost backs off so does torque.

The boost in the map should be set so that it peaks soon as poss then settles down. It is the same with the torque which will drop off due to the turbo becoming less effective at higher rpm.
