Spotted this in the local paper yesterday

I know people are still looking for them, so I thought it maybe useful if I posted it

Skoda Fabia 1.9 TD vRS Special Edition 5-Dr Hatchback

I don't come in here much (fabia section) then again I'm far too young what with all you OAP fabia drivers :P:P:P

HTH

wow - it's got a year's worth of mileage on it, after 9 months, and the price hasn't dropped.

In fact it's appreciated. Does that mean that we can compare the vRS SE with the Audi R8 - both worth more second hand than new!:)

Excellent. They seem to be more expensive the older they get and the more miles they have. I do about 40k a year so soon mine is gonna be worth a fortune!!

Seriously thought what are the dealers thinking? - and what are the people who are buying them thinking?

Mark

They are now rarer after one became a convertible, so are worth more ;)

My dealer sent me and advert page with one with a similar mileage for s similar price

given my se has now done 12500 miles already and I was worried about depreciation I was a happy man!

Seems fairly incredible to me but im not complaining

( its ok I know it wont last)

Who says cars don't pay! lol

A chap at work picked up a secondhand 57 plate Octy vRS last weekend. The guy who sold it had traded it in for a Fabia vRS SE...seems like a good move!

The dealer reckoned it would resell well, Ill admit I did write it off as the usual flannel

Having said that it is a very nice car , everyone who sees mine likes it and it does everything so well

having decided on the VRs I had to weigh up a second hand one against the new SE but knew i'd always wished Id had the se

its the first new car I ever bught in my life having sworn Id never do it so i guess thats a measure of its pull for me.

I wonder what number it is to make it priced like a brand new one?

Or is just the Main Dealer expecting too much?

Dunno bu thats two ive seen at that price now

thought the first was a fluke

I cant see it lasting although I think the SE may be worth a bit more than standard but only a few hunred pounds

head says sell now, but buy what instead ?still need wheels

yer these cars are tending to be worth more my dealer near me had one for sale with 7k miles on it was on the forecourt 2 days and they sold it for nearly 13k, which is more than i payed for mine

At our local dealers all the vRSs are that sort of price and not an SE in sight. According to the Skoda web site they've got two in stock at the moment priced at 12.6K and 12.7K...

Wow - Dervs tend to hold their value better than Petrols. But here there holding their values better than new cars! :D

Its a very good package and apart from the ibiza ,what is the alternative in terms of size, performance and economy?

I tried everything on the market and there wasnt anything to match it for the money. The 160 pd Ibiza was tempting but I wanted five doors and its dearer.

as a niche car it commands a niche price (for bit at least)
